DESIGN GUIDE & MARKINGS

Prisma

Alleles:

Rarity: Rare

Prisma is a very versatile marking, with several options to make your coat glimmer and gleam!

Rules

Colors

  • Prisma allows for any color selection, as long as it falls within the Prisma range:
    • The hue for these colors are free to choose, but should have a Brightness of roughly 65% or more, and a Saturation of 70% or more!
  • While Prisma can affect the horns and claws, if you choose to saturate them they must use the same colors as Prisma does!

Coverage

In its' non-dominant expression, Prisma may choose two of the below options. In its dominant expression, Prisma may choose three!
  • Make the Base Coat Shine:
    • Using this option, you may use Prisma to give the base coat some shading and shine!
    • This shine should apply to the base coat, genetic markings, and any free marks used in the design.
    • Shade and shine should draw their colors from the markings they sit over.
    • You can not saturate the base or any marking colors with this option.
  • Make the Base Coat Saturated:
    • With this option, you may use Prisma to saturate only the base coat!
    • You may still add the shading and shine to the whole design.
    • Markings still need to adhere to normal Marking Color Rules.
  • Saturate and add shine to a Marking:
    • In its' non-dominant expression, this effect may be applied to up to two markings. In its' dominant expression, it may be applied to three.
    • This affects the entire marking. A scattered marking like Bubbles would have each spot saturated and given shine.
    • This effect may be chosen multiple times!
    • This can include Free Markings!
  • Create its' own Freeform marking:
    • This is a very versatile option! It can create shine and disregard standard color allowances for its' marking, along with showing up to three colors in a gradient.
    • This marking may also show some sparkles! They should always be lighter than what they sit over, but never appear to glow.
    • It can be very shaped, and have holes.
    • Freeform Prisma should only fully cover one body section, but it may spread to show in every body section or significantly cover two body sections.
    • While it is not required to be connected, it should not be mistaken for another marking.
