DESIGN GUIDE & MARKINGS

Roots

Alleles:

Rarity: Uncommon

Roots creates interlocking stripes spreading out from a 'ground' point.

Rules

  • Roots marking has three coverage options: starting from the feet, head, or tail.
  • It features a solid base with stripes emanating outwards, which should align with the body's flow based on the starting point.
  • Roots can merge and may include free-floating stripes, provided they are close to the main marking.
  • Roots can have a brindled look instead of being traditional stripes.
  • The solid base needs to cover at least a quarter of the minimum range but can extend to cover the entire minimum range before transitioning into the Roots marking.
  • This marking can freely fade into the basecoat at the edge of its points!
